Select has unveiled significant shifts in its executive leadership team, with the appointment of Mark Jones as Chief Executive Officer. Jones, renowned for his extensive experience in Global Banks in Asia, Big 4, and FinTech Lending sectors, assumes the helm from outgoing CEO Campbell Smyth, who departs after a decade in the role.

Mark Jones brings a wealth of industry insight, including his transformative tenure as CEO of SocietyOne, where he spearheaded a comprehensive overhaul of marketing and digital capabilities, delivering improved customer experience and outcomes. His expertise also stems from heading Citibank’s mortgages business in Australia, contributing to a robust understanding of the mortgage market.

Jones commented on his appointment, stating, “My years in financial services have ingrained a deep connection with mortgages, making this opportunity a seamless fit. Select commitment to serving the 1 in 10 non-standard home loan customers resonates strongly with me.”

He added, “I see unlimited potential for Select, and I look forward to collaborating with the team to elevate the lending experience for both customers and broker partners.”

Additionally, Tony MacRae assumes the role of Chief Sales Officer, responsible for leading broker sales and distribution activities. With over a decade of honed expertise in the mortgage broker arena, including significant roles with the Westpac Group such as Acting CEO of RAMS and GM of Third Party Distribution, Tony is uniquely positioned for this pivotal role.

Says Tony on his new position at Select: “My passion is for delivering service and leadership above expectations. I’ll be working closely with the team to build opportunities for our broker partners and streamlining business interactions.”

As Mark Jones and Tony MacRae begin their new roles, James Angus, Chief Customer Officer, concludes his tenure at Bluestone at the end of August 2023.

“Select is positioned for growth and success in the non-bank sector. Tony and I remain committed to Bluestone’s vision of creating outstanding home loan experiences for our customers and partners, and we look forward to strengthening business capabilities to achieve our goals,” says Jones.
